Hey, I hear you all on the relax dues for juniors however my mom always paid for my association fees for hockey, football, and other organized sports as a kid. They were ALWAYS higher that $25 even in 1969 dollars. Momma gotta' pay it... OR we get volunteers from the membership pool to offer dues fo...

Just curious...does anyone know why we need a notarized registration document? I've never seen this at any race in any sport in 48 years. Is it an insurance thing? -RF Yeah better bring ID like a passport so you can prove you're the guy they notorized... JK - but I would also like to know why this ...

I do not speak with the voice of an organizer but I do see value in the proposal. The numbers can be negotiated if there is concern I suppose however doing something like this brings more legitimacy and value to the org. Tasks will be completed and there should be little concern for volunteerism (wi...

.... The current World Ranking System was set up in 2002-2003. And it took into account all the knowledge and mistakes from earlier tries of doing World Rankings. Both in the beginning of the 90's and also in the beginning of the 2000's. The problem is that a ranking never can be perfect. That is w...

Any Consideration to a "Flat" Point System?
I have seen posts and grumblings of all sort since Corky and all got the 2009 rankings updated; it was much work I know. It is cool to see how you do with others but can be hard to scope-in on skill set or skill level at times with individuals. Not sure it even matters but the ranking system and the...

I think the ISSA board needs to decide if we are moving forward as a competitive sport or a hobby activity and if it's best to do both combined or separate. That seems to be what is dividing us. Do other sports combine Pro and AM events on the same field at the same time? Spectators? Some sports ar...

I think having classes has value; we simply need some guidelines to manage them then a big stick to manage the racers :) I'm not suggesting 10 classes but something manageable for race days. Maybe this discussion is best for another thread since this is really a huge "Thank You" to Corky and the org...

So hopefully, Keith and the Radikal guys can help me out. Bru...

Declaring before your first ISSA sanctioned race, for the season/year, makes sense. You declare and you stay "there"for the season/year. JG's comments about attaining a certain capability as Am (severely paraphrasing) also serves as a good benchmark IMO. Maybe that benchmark discussion can be clarif...

Sad Day - Andy Kessler R.I.P
Andy Kessler was for years a bad boy NYC skater - died the other day while surfing in the Hamptons. This is a tragic story and saddens me greatly. I have not spoken or been riding with Andy for years (maybe 1983 or so was the last I rode with him). I was looking forward to visiting him and one of th...

Yes, whole thing. Heat will help the metal parts to come apart. If Wes's suggestion (keep in mind you want to tap the KP so the bearing stays IN the hangar so make sure you are hitting the right end) doesn't work then get a torch then do what he said again after heating that bitch up. If all fails t...

Are you able to turn the pin counter clockwise in the hangar (while in baseplate) using a socket at the top? This is your best bet IMO.
