So I've finally had a chance to play with my timer for more than 2 minutes. Question for those who have used them: Do you store multiple times during your sessions, or reset the timer after each lap through the course? Or in other words, when I start my run, the beacon at the top of the course "star...

I personally have not had the "you-know-what's" to start hacking on an Airflow to add a spherical to it. I'm ok with screwing up a $20 truck, not so OK with screwing up an Airflow.. One thing you can do is make a "fixed spherical" as some call it, or a "surf-key" as some others call it, or a small "...

Re: Slalom Park?
Looks good, is that Herriman? Sitting here watching another 4" of snow fall.... dammit. Paul Price just called me, snowed in at Snowbird! On the good news front, I should have a new toy soon winging its way from the UK...a clue? Might have a lizard in the name... ;-) That's in South Jordan (near He...

Slalom Park?
New slalom training ground? Whaddya think?
There's been a lot of new interest over on that "other" skateboarding site.
Attempting to have a session in Herriman 4/16 in the evening (weather permitting.) If anyone is interested, PM me for directions.

Things will pick up a little more next month after the snow season dies down. That being said I'd be up for an evening session, or possibly a weekend session. Yeah, it's not a slalom deck, but there's a few old guys on the forum here that might be interested? Zorlac Big Boys Reissue Deck. Purchased without graphics. Here's my finished version. All "modular". From this: http://i47.tinypic.com/mb70gy.jpg To this: http://i48.tinypic.com/ngomcj.jpg In less than 10 minutes. Re: SEISMIC WORLD CUP
This is GREAT news for a noobie racer like myself. So if I decide to pony up the registration $$$, at least I'll get more than two runs per discipline just to finish DFL. Progress.....
So, I've decided to us "C" clamps to attach the ramp pieces together, and it works great. I could use more than the two clamps shown, but it would be overkill: http://i46.tinypic.com/5jwh1x.jpg And the top transition piece: http://i48.tinypic.com/1493wuc.jpg With just 3 clamps holding these three pa...

Yeah, and you could use wingnuts... May work. You could also drill a hole in the main box and install a large t-nut on the backside. Then you could weld a wing nut to the top of a bolt, and drill a hole through the steel. This would give you a "wing bolt" that could be easily inserted by hand into ...

I really like this design. But for me, the whole point was to pack it up in the trunk, take somewhere, easily assemble it, tear down, and drive home. With u clamps, I would need to carry wrench and it isn't quick. I've solved the problem of L-brackets to hold all of the ramp sections together (with...
