Its ON..."Battle of the Wes'" Each has a big brain. One rides scraps taken from a construction site. The other just stepped on modern gear after finally wearing out his small pivots racing in obscurity for the last 20 years. One Drives an Z28 Camaro, the other, public transportation. Both are single...

A DQ is among the most boring thing that can happen in a competition. Let's keep those to a minimum. If the course is really difficult even a good skater will hit cones. Nobody hits cones by mistake and we do have a penalty for hitting cones. Why add another one? I just don't get it. Those who are ...

JG, of course TS should have a cone limit. 10 cones should be a max for ANY length course, even 100 cones. Its about skill, a skilled racer can go faster and cleaner. This is how we determine who is a better racer. Why even bother having a tech section in a course with no DQ limit, you could just pl...

you should have seen Luca race Mollica this last weekend. Talk about difference in style. Kenny beat Luca to the line but was a little more dirty than luca. The Dong and Luca matchup was amazing with Dong posting the only sub 18 sec raw time of the day . Luca brought out the best in Dong. The Dong /...

JG, back in the day we used to play all sorts of shit IN THE STREET. Football, wiffleball, whatever. Full on games too. When the cars came we just moved. No one ever said anything. ever. It was our neighborhood but this went on everywhere(new haven,ct is the city I'm from). Now, people are uptight a...

JG, finding good hills is like discovering new surf spots. New developements are the best bet but they don't meet your "is there spectators" criteria.I doubt we'll ever have slalom specific sites or hills, not here in the east anyhow. There are like 3 of us here. I say poach, be stealth, be creative...

Wes, Surfing in the rain by and large is a personal decision. Some surfers do not like the sensation of rain pelting them about the head and neck area while others don't mind at all. They're wet anyway right! One thing I would advise against is surfing during lightning storms. If you see lightning j...

Slalom as a sport is far to small to have dissention in the troops. If our goal is to grow the sport which I hope it is, we need to embrace ALL types of Slalom. What good is true TS if only 3 guys can do it well? Longboard slalom is the gateway to slalom.Case in point, Lisa and her daughters. Hardco...

Andy, long time no post. You came back with a good one. When I look for slalom spots I look for Hills. Flat is OK for a drill but its kind of masochistic .Its just not fun, its like algebra. Hills however are at the very core of our inner child fun o meter. Sliding down hills on a sled. Rolling down ...

Ya know wes. I started riding lower camber decks and found them easier to ride on the bigger high speed courses. For TS however I still think its a valid design. The S cambers dont feel like a high camber deck cause your rear foot is sitting low and flat. As of right now all my decks have 3/8 or les...
