Why do you think I'm sooooo scared ti crash now? Dude, I'm not looking forward to the next BIG accident that is heading my way. BlackHole skaetched me out bigtime and Evans' super tight offset course at the Cemetery nearly killed me. What are guys trying to do to me?

A R A B-

I was super scared that night at BlackHole-I was just trying not to show it by blowing it off and making it seem like I was cool or something. You should have seen the even worse slam I took at the Cemetery running one of Evans' super fast tight offset courses-I almost saw GOD for sure!

A R A B- Why do you think I'm so scared of high speeds now? Dude, I wiped out so bad my first day at BlackHole that I'm frickin' sketched for life. I think I'm afraid of JPL too even though I have not been there yet. I just don't want to do a repeat performance and eat crap in front of everybody-plu...

Goals for 2003 are: 1. Be a better father and husband (so I can go skateboarding and surfing). 2. Pray to God for, protection, strength, and to give thanks for my blessings. 3. Stay quiet, low-key, and centered while racing and in life. 4. Attend all the SoCal Slalom events and place in top 10 in th...

1. Jack Smith - classic shot, taken at the precise moment. 2. Rene' "CannonBall" Carrasco - because it was taken when he was hauling !*$ down his best and fastest run on the GS course at WLAC last November. 3. Bruce Brewington - because he really has that 70's old-time Colorado Parallel style and a ...

How do you polish an old truck?

Just got a pretty cool Craftsmen grinder and polishing wheel and I would like someone out there to fill me in a little on what I need to polish an old truck. I've got sets of Indy 88's, 101's, and 109's, plus I have an old set of Tracker fulltrack small pivots. I would really like to clean them all ...

Adam and Rene- I have to agree-OUST wins the spin test everytime. Crank your wheels down so tight that other bearings won't even spin, and no matter how tight, OUST just spin and spin. I think that they have made a rook like me much faster-and all it takes is couple of good times logged in racing to...

Hey Leo- It sounds to me like you got some bad trucks. I just want to say that for the record, I have never bought, aquired, or ridden any bad trucks for Independent. All of the trucks that I have ridden in the last 25 years are still going. I have new Indy's and old one's-and they all semm to be of...

Glenn, Bad H, Arab, George, and anyone else....Skaterbuilt will throw down $50.00 for Richy and Maria. No prob......I owe Richy bigtime for all the tips and advice, so it would be the least I could do. I'm in. The Brown Bomber will be a shoe-in for the best Swiss/Euro killer!

Hey John or anybody else who knows:

Is it still called a Gilmour curve if the course is set up with the cones curved in both left and right directions like an "S"? Double Gilmour curve? And, can the Gilmour curve be used on GS courses or is it better suited for tighter courses? Thanks.

Thanks for the helpful tips and info you guys-it is very much appreciated. I did a lot better at practice last night because Steve Evans had me running the cones at about half speed with my hands on my head. By doing that, it demonstrated to me how tight is really more about having the hips facing t...

My foot placement is naturally surf-style, but have have foung that I hit cones with my back toe sometimes. It seems like surf-style works better for me in hybrid/GS courses but isn't quite as effective for me in tight. Attila says for tight I should straighten up more and have my torso facing the c...
