Re: Rads/Stims
Mr. Gale, I'm the one who fits Stims to Radikals, and I showed Karl just how to do this. Recall, if you will, the inherent value of Stims before my 1998 posts on NCDSA... Yup, shoulda shut up then, But we wouldn't have JimZ's or Fat Radikal bushings to play with now, would we? So that's one Cat out...

I'll be back for a month from the middle of December through Jan. Snowboard Season should be good. BTW I just got one of the new back trucks from keith and they amazing. Great upgrade for Tight Slalom from the splitfire, which is also still a really good performing truck. I'm not extremely religiou...

The host/promoter, more than likely has ridden the hill multiple times..Each and every hill has it's own characteristics and flow....... I have seldom seen an "out of towner" set a course befitting the venue, if there are some un foreseen problems with a particular section! Notice I said seldom..It ...

Here is my proposed "Toe stop" question. The wording revises the vertical plane wording that could prove problematic when using toe blocks made from soft materials like C-Block. Should the following rule be included? TOE STOPS: “Toe stops are allowed. They must not wrap over, trap or affix the ride...

A "binding" restricts vertical motion of the foot. A "toestop" restricts lateral or horizontal movement of the foot. Basically, if you can lift up your foot it's a toestop. You put your foot AGAINST a toestop, you put your foot IN or UNDER a binding. Shall I go on? No need! We agree to disagree. My...

As soon as skaters start riding in snow, ice and water then maybe bindings will be applicable. Any further attempt to equate sky bindings with slalom skateboard bindings is nothing more than obstinate intransigence in the face of reality. Have at it. Aint tryin' to equate anything! Simply pointing ...

No it would not. And no it shouldn't. This toe block is simply an open frame accomplishing the same thing a solid toe block accomplished. The design shown does not wrap over or around the foot. It is simply a lightweight functional toe block used to transmit a person's forward momentum and torque to...

Joe I. Polls have been taken and it seems that as a majority, most approve of the 6 wheelers. I for one think they should be allowed. I believe that poll was taken on Silverfish. I believe the audience was uneducated and not necessarily of our membership. For our purposes polls are pointless. Lets ...

Not to muddy the waters, but toe blocks are a form of binding. albeit 1 or 2 demensional, and normally used only on the front foot..It still is a binding of sorts. No they are not. With a BINDING a skater could not become separated from the board. With a TOE BLOCK there is no restraint. Toe blocks ...

Wesley, This is where the murkiness comes into play. A toe block is a mechanism attached to the board that restrains the foot from moving foreward, and also can be shaped or oriented to restrain lateral movement. It is not a part of the deck, but an add on that "binds" the foot in place re: at least...

First off..Radikals are designed to maintain the exact geometry that their bushings create. You are not supposed to adjust tension, but change durometer instead(ie: to be tighter or looser turning) An E-Z out resembles a thread cutter, but reversed, so that when it is treaded into the hole drilled f...

Erik, I aint no "spatterer" and I agree Wes' $ figure was out of thin air.. Really? The Buckeye is $100. So far 80 skaters have registered. If ONLY 70 show up that's $7000 The Farm was announced YESTERDAY and already 38 have announced. 60 showing up would be $6000 The Worlds is $130. NINETY EIGHT h...

Dave. Wes. Quit spatting over whether $25k is a lot of money. Who cares? The $25k number, whether it's right or wrong, is a sum of projected entry fees, and has nothing to do with whether races cost a lot to put on or are limited to "labors of love" by organizers. Wouldn't it be better if the $25k ...

Wesley, "All that cash?" Put Kenny's formula to work, and you'll see the tally! Dave, "All that cash." More than $25,000 comes from somewhere. Kenny's formula has nothing to do with with how much COMES IN. His involves how much GOES OUT. Two totally different line items. Pay attention. You might le...
