Concrete skatepark in York

We are raising funds to construct a concrete skatepark in York, PA. It is to be named the Reid Menzer Memorial Skatepark, in honor of local skater Reid who was killed January 22, 2006 while riding his streetluge. You can help by purchasing black-and-white checked wristbands (ala Vans shoes) with Rei...

Wanted: RT-s/x's

I'd like to set up some boards for newbies to try. Unfortunately, I ride mostly Seismics, and most newbies (especially lightweights) have trouble using them. I'm looking for 2 sets of RT/S/X's. Here's what I have to trade: 2 Seismic 105 45* Quick Turn or 2 Seismic 135 Composites or 4 Abec 11 88a Gum...

WT took down PaDan? Wes was definitely smokin'! Even if I'd been 100%, it would have been a close one. I attribute Wes' improvement to two things... 1. Lots of practice (something most of us DCer's haven't had recently) 2. Giving up on that gay parallel stance. Congratulations for joining the real ...

Hi Kevin,
The deck I have is a TS model. 25.25" x 8.25" with 18" wheelbase.

No reason it wouldn't work for hybrid courses though.

If you're interested, I can e-mail you pics and prices.

Race # 1 Results

Well, we did indeed have a small turnout. It was nice to have Andy (GBJ) racing again :) GBJ set a fun course, not super tight but fun (I think I already said that) We used a single lane due to the limited number of racers. Wind was a factor, as it intensified later in the race. Here are the results...

Keep in mind that ABEC ratings are more relevant to machines running at something like 40,000 rpm's and not necessarily applicable to skating.

Bones Swiss (and also Rockin Ron's, I think) aren't ABEC rated at all and are excellent bearings for skateboard applications.
