Brady don't be a donkey. If you pay attention you'll see this board is broken into forums. 1. If you want to discuss Radikals go to that forum. If you want ask the manufacturer of Radikals a question email him privately. 2. If you are going to bust balls. Grow them first. 3. (and most importantly) N...

I just thought a pre-emptive strike was needed from past experience on NCDSA. We've had a group of like-minded skaters in our area get together for a few anti-war rallies. When we posted on the other site it was met with weeks and pages of armchair aggression. Most of the posts turned out to be unin...

NO MORE BUSHit! I'm going to the Howard Dean rally this Saturday. They will have buses running from the West Falls Church Metro to the site. But it's also an easy skate. If anyone is interested we could meet at the Metro at 3:30 and skate over. It is also right by the WO&D path for bonus cruising. O...

This sounds like something vendors should be creating and funding to market their own teams. I would also question hoisting the whole autograph/bio thing of skaters on the public. It would create the impression that it must be difficult to become involved in the sport. I would let the public decide ...

I know what you mean about his age. Doesn't it seem like he was learning to walk just yesterday??? And we should all give the Riordons' a big thanks for raising him as if he was one of their own. (The unorthodox style must come from the LBK training.) http://mediaservice.photoisland.com/auction/Aug/...

Regular Beam isn't a big loss.
If it was one of their small batch whiskey's... then it would be a bummer.
Booker's and Knob Creek are crazy good.

I found a new spot right near Walker Lane. It's at the Springfield Transportation Center (Metrorail, Metrobus, VRE, Greyhound bus center). There is an emergency access road that goes up to the VRE station in the back that is paved. It's comparable to the Park and Ride and Walker lane for pitch and s...

I agree with John. Being a middle of the pack rider it is/was discouraging to be knocked out after 1 or 2 rounds. I really like the A/B format because of the opportunities. I can go all out in qualifying and make the A bracket, just to go one or two rounds. Or I can relax in qualifying and race much...

There is a Freedom soccer game there on Saturday night and a Farmer's Market during the day. It shouldn't be a problem because: 1. they can't park on the track 2. who really goes to see women's soccer? The track is in Parking lot 6 and 7 at RFK just off Oklahoma and Benning Rd. It's kinda ironic to ...

Soapbox racers would be a great group to get involved. I think the hill is technically owned by Virginia Power (it's right behind the tennis courts). But they've had a VW/Sobe sponsored mountain bike race that used the hill. The park is so diverse in it's activities (all the typical health club stuf...

Warsteiner is actually touted as the '#1 selling beer of Germany.' (Vlad should show up any minute now). Heineken is definitely from the Netherlands. From the Heineken website... Boycott Heineken and Amstel? Uhhhh...although it was occupied by the Germans during WWII, the Netherlands, home of Heineken and Amstel, is an independent country. The RFK racetrack is a good spot for a very mellow longboard race. The rest of the lots there are a little too rough for my taste. The one bonus about using the track is that even if there was a soccer game at RFK you could still have a race because of the barriers. Anacostia is nothing like it was ...
