The cleanup on the Pirnak outline is good. Thinking the front wheels could use some white space between them and the spelled out organization name should have a flat bottom that is also shade matching; no rounding for the letter bottoms. LOL, so many opinions but all good. To Rick's point, Pirnak (u...

Welcome Peter Metzger to CHIxILL
Please join me in welcoming a noob (I say that with much love BTW) slalom skater and college student to the ranks of the ISSA and midwest skate scene. I will be taking Pete two decks and some cones this weekend so he can start getting ready for the '09 season and he could use a ride to Texas for the...

LOL - now there is an identity problem (we don't know exactly who we are) to go with what we think we should look like. Sounds like a crisis. Good thing is we're all skaters with brains (well some brains anyway). Whether the "S" goes before the "S" or not (by letter) doesn't seem to matter unless th...

Hang on just a sec... I may be able to help Chris out here from one Hobie vet to another. Chris, my Hobie brother; ditch the flex and keep the rocker in the closet. I love Joe and do not disagree with him BUT..., times have changed in a big way and if you still have some balance and have skated a bi...

Re: And now for something completly different....
Personally I would like to see any race that is a Main or Major contain a Masters class. It makes the airfare a bit less painful when you get past the first round once and awhile. Civi, gotta throw some injuries in on the old man too you know. Practice ain't everything. Marty; I think the Masters C...

Hell-Fadell took a snap of the timer and PC pretty sure. That man takes awesome pictures. Also, we have like 50 people that witnessed the event 3 times... well two perfect clean runs with a 10" single cone on the third and one kick-ass world record setting time. If there is any argument on the recor...

For those that do not go to the "other" site... Lavin falls on grenade and saves thousands at the Antrim CanAm. Hardly, but there was the psycho chic that someone had to get rid of so I volunteered. It was a bit like jumping on a grenade but getting to drink beers first. Antrim rocked. Went to compe...

The "clean-up" discussion on this as well as the "how" and "why" actually enhances the good feelings on owning one. The broad weave carbon and the total wrap is unique compared to other non-homemade decks out there that I have seen. Again I'm no champion but I do have appreciation for well-built boy...
That bites Rick. We can both be 005; who knows maybe this will add value to the decks!? Ofd course you and I will be like 80 by then... Can you share what issues you have with the forum? Disclosure will likely help us all if you experienced a failure critical defect or similar. Skate hard my friend....

Spike, here is a link to one of Wes's threads: http://www.slalomskateboarder.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1149 This may help you get a "visual" on some differences between the TS, GS, Hybrid course descriptions. SkateParks: -Burnham @ about 31 St. and Lake Michigan -Wilson south of Evanston (700 Western). This is where we had the '07 park slalom death race (Hell Fadell won that I think). Grant Park by the museum has some fun lazy long boarding hills and curves. Watch out for the expansion cracks on the down...
Gecko 005 SLS Maiden Voyage
005 is now lovingly known as "Satan's Little Sister". Long for SLS. Her maiden voyage in St. Louis sparked much controversy and drew many stares upon her sleek lines and carefully sculpted curves. I'm going straight to hell as fast as I can... watch your back ladies - immortality adorned upon your b...

I think that's right. My buddy in the early 80's had the red one with "SIMS" pasted on it. He's on the 80's slalom video on my myspace site about 2/3 the way thru the video in Central Park, NYC. I always wondered how he got that Turner (Tom was a bit shady).Pelle wrote:The red SIMS...

Got 005 out today in St. Louis; first time in competition. We had to stop after qualifying due to rain. I think I qualified 6th but we'll have to wait for JBH's post. 66 cones at 6'6", good speed great course. Observations: I'm totally stoked about the board. I used max wheelbase holes as drilled. I...
