Switzerland - Tunnel ramps
Here are a few photos of the ramps used in the Swiss tunnel race Nov 2002. Although they pretty well served their purpose and nobody complained about them, these ramps should be considered the absolute minimum acceptable. Extremely easy and cheap to build, they end up being too light for good racing...

Ramp drawing
These are ramp drawings that were once published in Slalom! magazine. http://www.slalomskateboarder.com/images/Ramps/Ramp_Drawing_S.jpg The S-shaped ramps gives a nicer descent and makes it easier to enter onto the flat surface below. These ramps were used as early as 1982, so they've been around so...

Over the last 6 months I have been asked repeatedly for drawings of ramps and information on what constitutes a good start ramp for slalom. As there isn't such a thing as the official ramp. I'm now starting a series of posts presenting ramps that are currently used or have been used in slalom racing...

Kaupo Kukli - Estonia Kaupo Kukli was Estonias fastest slalomer back in the 1990's. He's been away from slaloming for years now, but don't be surprised if he's up on his board once the sun starts melting the ice up north. The third issue of Slalom! is now up. 1987 was quite a busy year for slaloming. With the Czech summer camp taking over from the Swedish and the European Championships being held in Täby, Sweden, organized by Jani Söderhäll, Hans Corky Koraeus and Martin Willners slalom was getting a bit more attenti...

How about this picture for a start. It gives you the kind of slope we used in 1995. http://www.SlalomSkateboarder.com/Racers/Sinadolova100cones_RT.jpg It would have been better if we would have done on completely flat ground, because it would have been the only fair way to reproduce it.
