Stinky Petri-dish pads

Best advice I got (thanks paul howard) and seems to work:

Set the pads in the sun, inside-out (areas that contact skin shining in the sun).

Evidently, the UV rays of the sun will kill them germs.

For the same reason I haven't been to the hill to document it in a proper way. In both systems, the active timing pin is pulled to +5V by a pullup resistor. No current is flowing thru the wires or the switch until the racer hits the switch. I have run timing systems with over 4000 ft of wire (Trackmate and Chronocone). Both worked fine. Ski race systems run with wire over 3 miles long. I don't think we are coming close to the limits, as long as the timer is imune to the noise and the additional capacitance loading of very long cables.....

it is probably a 16-bit integer number storing in 1/1000th seconds---

therefore it will count to 65535 (65.535 s) and then start over fron 0.

I would like to propose that we (the ISSA) sponsor a WORLD RECORDS weekend. Something like this: We establish a PRIME sanction for the WORLD RECORD weekend. I think for Juniors it is very important to acquire racing experience and therefore they should be allowed to race both, Amateur AND Juniors category, if the want to. Like this they get used to the racing rhytm and it won't be that much of a big step to race Amateur or Pro because they already know...
