You might consider running 82a Cambrias around, or perhaps 82's in front and 78's in rear. You will get super traction, but still plenty of speed.

Lauren's jacket

Actually, Lauren's jacket is a "Joe Rocket", which we found at a local motorcycle shop. It's very light, with a combination of leather and nylon mesh, plus pretty good armor.

I don't know the surfaces that you mention, but I would assume they are smoother than the surfaces we ran last weekend. Harder wheels will roll faster when there aren't surface irregularies to impede their progress, as there's less compression to during normal roll. Softer wheels will conform better...

The yellows and blacks are both approximately 88a. The blues are approxmiately 92a. I generally set up stiff flex boards with blues and medium flex boards with yellows or blacks. These are still my first choice cushions.

On smooth concrete, harder wheels often have better traction because they have less "rebound". In those conditions, softer wheels will start to slide in a strange bouncing manner, while harder duros will not bounce so much and therefore regain traction faster.
