I think that depends..... it should be up to the organizers (it is anyway) and it largely depends on their expenses and if they want to offer prize money. I am sure that Paris has higher costs than Grüningen for example. Morro Bay was very high for the standards I was used to and it still is. I thin...

AM/Open or PRO
I questioned that a while ago already but with the recent thread in Grüningen, I would like to open the discussion once again, we did not come to a conclusion anyway as I remember, or did we? Anyway, Who should race in the Am Class, who in the Pro? Who is to decide who races where? Should it be up t...

Chris, I agree, there are certain pro's on the sign up list that are currently undecided (certain airflow riders) that without doubt should NOT be permitted to race in the Am category....like you say its just not fair on the rest of us!! Paul I hope those to whom it may concern read this. I would n...

[quote="Hans Koraeus"]Make it as tight as you want. Just make sure the pro's are aware of it so that they bring proper equipment. Last year many where not sure what tight meant. It still is confusing I guess. I think a good definition for tight is when you stand on the ramp and think "i´ll never mak...

You are right. Cool isn´t it.
The sun is out here since a few days and we can smell the pavemant heating up here. Sumer is on the way, slalom days, and my new pratice spot is just a few steps in front of my house, fits 65 cones easily with super good asphalt and a slight incline, no cars..........ha!

I know, Jani. I just hope that there will be no collision, this would be s...

Yes John, lets talk about this. Jani posted something in another thread about having the Euro races close together to let racers from overseas participate in as many as possible. I said it before, I do not lilke the idea of a footblock, I think it is dangerous and has not to be on a skateboard. Griptape has to be on there and nothing else, besides I think it is dangerous when you have to jump off. I use a piece of rough metal beltsander griptape on my decks where the feet ar...

Ben, try to be "early" in your turns. That means you have to start the turn before you actually come close to the cone, not too early or you will knock it over. That is the most important thing in slalom and comes with practice. Try to stay close to the cones as much as possible not arching your tur...
