Ok Jani, I know all of that. But this topic has been created whithout my will ( perhaps because i was off topic in two of my posts wich have been redirected here). I don't want to debate on prices, usa/europe...Euros dealers must have quite high prices for all the reasons you said...I know... And i ...

Skyhooks

Chris, I don't see how a single piece of 1 cm of wood can be dangerous... It's not a skyhook... I have skyhooks on another board, it's usefull to jump sidewalks, but I admit it's quite dangerous... But just a footblock??? < Topic split: discussion on cost of boards in Europe moved to a separate thre...

The price for 4 "avalon" in France is 70 euros, or roughly 77$...

And it's the same for all US gear... :o(

Cost of equipment in Europe

Keith Hollien, your boards (especially the GS) looks nice. But it's impossible or super expensive to get Roe (or Turner or P.Pistol or all US gear) in France... For some brands there is no retailer... So I have to make a direct order, then pay taxes, then shipping with UPS, then other taxes... The d...

Hey !!! So, after a few days of trainig, I finally mastered 5 feet slaloms with my 30 cones... 4 feet still seems impossible to me...but... It's obvious that if you know how to pump well "out of the cones", it is a lot easier to go through cones even when they're quite tight ( 5 feet is still very t...

Nice day today... Great sunshine, not too cold...nice day to slalom !!! I'm going to try your exercises and advices ( even though a 4 feet space between cone seems to me as absolutely impossible....). I'll give you my impressions later... P.S it's amazing to see all the advices you can give to newbi...

you know, i'm used to be on the front of my deck... In downhill, most of the weight is on the front truck too ; But the deck is much bigger, and the trucks much more stable !!! Anyway, ok !! I'll try to get used to the 45 degrees stance wich seems to be the best combination of stability/power/easy t...

Feet position on the deck?

What is the right position of your feet on the board...???

'cause when I put my feet like on my downhill deck, I hit many cones with my feet...

I've seen pictures of guys whith their feet in a straight line on the board, but I find this position very unstable...

wow !!! I've just read the first post of you John !!! i'm a newbie in slalom, but i'm not really in downhill...But if 40 ou 45 mp/h is my maximum speed on a downhill deck, i just can't even dream about 25 mp/h on a small slalom board with those small trucks, totally loose... i'm not scared by speed ...

if you come to France with this kind of gear we can't find, i think you'll have a lot of customers, especially in the trocadero world cup...

Nice suggestion indeed ...

Thanx for the infos... I'll receive the board tomorow... I'll put extra riser pads in order to avoid wheelbite... By the way, what do you suggest for a composite deck for me in the future???? Think that it's hard ( or fu**ing expensive) to get US gear in France.... It's possible for me to get a turn...
