Northern California Slalom Video

I just posted a skate video of Ravitch tearing it up in NorCal at secret spot #17. I'll get around to editing more NorCal slalom video when I have time. It would be great to get slalom some more exposure to a wider audience on Youtube. If you could give my video a 5 star rating on Youtube and send o...

Speed at Hood River

Hi Antonio, I'm not sure of the exact speed. I finished middle of the pack among the racers. So there were definitely a lot of people going faster than the video I posted. They said the course was about a half mile long (800 meters). Since we were traveling zig zag down the road, I'm guessing we tra...

Helmet Camera Video: Giant Slalom (Hood River Oregon 2007)

Just posted a video clip of a warm-up run from the "Rider's Point of View" of the Super Giant Slalom (GS) Course at Hood River using my helmet camera. The camera is attached to the left side of my helmet, so the video is not centered exactly. But it should give you a sense of how fast and challengin...

Preliminary Results

I have to agree that I had a great time at the slalom race in Japan. It was at a skatepark that was built on the edge of the beach. 8 or 9 half pipes of varying sizes, a street course, large pool, two roller hockey rinks, and a kiddy pool for rollerbladers. You looked over your shoulder and there we...

I'm also planning on going to the race in Yokohama, Japan on Nov. 2nd. Good excuse for visiting family and doing a little racing. Booked the tickets. Last time I checked the tickets are around $400 roundtrip from LA or San Francisco.
