Interesting thread... In my opinion it would be better to have the opportunity to have more main competitions than the regulated 3 or 4 in each area. A set of rules that must be fulfilled for each status should be set up by ISSA and then the status of each race should be set by how the competition i...

Nice one Vlad! 3.00 with penalty included or just 3.00 through the course. Its super fast either way. Are we still talking 168cm inner? Also I'd like to say thank you to all who consider me being one of the youngsters, just cause I haven't been slaloming for more than a few years doesn't mean I have...

Hey Vinzzz! Great to see that you spread the wibe in Paris! I liked the Vinzz city, although I think it could have been more sex and drugs. But I'm swedish so I guess I'm supposed to think so (at least the sex part). :) Anyways I totally understand the not so Frency english, but then again it can de...

A cyberslalom course in 9 seconds gives an average speed of 5,9m/s ((174feet*0.305)/9). This means you travel 6mm or 1/4 of an inch per 1/1000 sec. 2 questions for you: 1) what are the odds that 3 persons out of 15 that run a cyberslalom course under 10 seconds happen to get the same time down to 1/...

Chris, since Paul Price got 3:rd in special I can't really see your point in claiming UK was missing... Too bad not more people could make it though... Re: Timing Accuracy tests
I will make some tests of the Chronocone accuracy against a calibrated traceable standard. We have several calibrated pulse generators, counters, and digital oscilloscopes at HP where I work. GREAT! That's pretty much what I wanted. I think the tests that I did where ok, but if you have better gear...

Accuracy tests between Trakmate, Chronocone and EttSexEtt
With the 'new' computer driven timings systems at hand there is no doubt that competitions could run smoother, results can get out faster and errors are less prone to affect the final standings. There wont be any mixing of lanes, typos when moving times from timer to spreadsheet and such. One questi...

Good to see that more than just the Swedes belive that computers are the way to go. I really only have one question, why don't you switch from using a USB to using the COM port like the EttSexEtt timer. This way you wouldn't have to buy and modify the game controllers, instead you'd need 5ft of wire...
