I think there is a much stronger argument for push starts than ramps.(IMHO) Last years M.S.S.S dq'd 75% of the field on the 88 cone 6' straight Walking up the course w/ Gilmour we spoke of next year making it a 6.5' o.c, as even the racers that didn't dq were pumping the course for the 1st 1/3 then ...

Rest assured John..M.S.S.S is still planning on a push start! But with a more liberal "unlimited" 30' or so run-in frame! I think the time and $ spent on setting up ramps detracts from the time and pleasure of a good race!

most manufacturers use the few cores available.. Stingers use the same as LaCostas etc... And the cores seem to vary little as far as materials

My thoughts and experiences aren't just due to duro, but formula! I have no such noise w/ other wheels w/the same set up Gumballs Kryps etc... I think the urethane 3dm uses is more "pliable" then the cores of such wheels! Just a thought..but a very thought out and experimented thought

Virtually all my trucks are 8mm and I've used several bearings..I'm tellin' ya' I think the noise ids coming from the different distortion rates of the harder hub and the softer formula urethane!! It seems to smooth out/dissapate at speed...no?

Troy, I just got back from a 6:00 -9:00 romp in the woods on a Morel March (got 4 bread bags!!) I also have a barn of mostly Chestnut that is in need of dissasembly!! I've experienced it as well, and have decided it was the vast difference in hardness from wheel to hub (the softer duros seem to be worse than the harder. I've also noticed it dissapears at speed (since the weight/distortion is more dispersed). It occurs on my Gumballs (in softer duros) I've decided...

Brian, Having several injuries/surgerys, I can't agree more, with the advice to get trueley knowledgable reccomendations from your attending physicians/therapists etc...If they're worth their salt, you should trust them and do as instructed.. If not, get a second opinion by referral!!! Don't over do...

It depends on what you call T.S vs G.S to run a 6' center straight/prlel a short wheelbased board w/ the feet closer together,and frequently in a more "feet facing forward works best for me..
