NOS Stobies would be nice. Never liked PPs. I think they had a duro somewhere in the '30s. Just felt squishy and SLOW. I still remember the day I switched from loose-ball Da Kines to precision RR 4s. Grip yes but I swear I sacrificed speed making the switch. Of course I also had a lot more time to s...

Loose Ball Bearing Components?
Anyone over 40 might probably perhaps remember loose ball bearing wheels. Does anyone know if the hardware to make a loose wheel are standard parts? I'm referring to D-rings, cone nuts and the bearing races that were molded into the wheel. I know they are also used on roller skates. In 1975, though,...

Peter, Two things. One: tapeswitches must ALWAYS be stored flat. Some people roll them up but that's still an invitation to crimp the metal. If you laid one down and didn't tape then probably that allowed a wheel to crunch the switch instead of roll over it. Two: building a tapeswitch type mechanism...

Talk about year-round training:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhXvlLiV ... re=channel
Obviously, it's feasible. Imagine being able to skate endlessly in front of a mirror to check for stance, pump technique, etc., etc., etc. With variable grade you can pump up hill, down and flat.

I checked the link to the website and there's nothing on it about trucks.
What's up at EttSexEtt to get a forum in the Trucks section?
