do this: 1. Get a board, any board at all. Softer wheels and trucks that turn are helpful for beginners. 2. Ride it a lot, until you can call yourself a skateboarder. Go, ride. Find and hang out with other skateboarders and do what they do. My kids are required to be "real skateboarders" before I le...

Khiro has a really cool looking wedge kit out that would allow you to easily try a lot of different wedge options out until you found the front and back angles that work best for you. Most folks run their back Indy offsets dewedged 7 to 11 degrees, depending on the board and front truck wedging. A b...

I had a Roe unlimited foam core that was really bouncy. Thats supposedly been fixed in the newer "torsion cores". I still have a Crossfire PS (solid wood), it's a good deck. On the other hand, I have 2 PPS e-series decks that completely blow all the Roes I've ridden out of the water. No comparison. ...

Mike,
I see a lot of toe blocks out there, almost all home-made.
Extra front concave does the job for me.
Some of the new wood slalom decks, like Skaterbuilt, have a liitle nose kick (for nollies, undoubtedly;).

I have one I'll sell you. It's been upgraded: Hanger width 101mm, hanger ends machined to be perpendicular to axle, axles 8mm x 180mm, includes steel spacers that allow you to kick it out to about 110 or 115mm, 2.25" grade 8 kingpin. Perfect condition. I also have another Gus that I broke the basepl...

Vinz - Changing out an axle is easy. Get a steel plate with a 9mm hole. Determine which side of the axle has the knurling. Place that side of the axle in the hole. Hold the axle square to the plate. To answer the original question, "Which width Seismics": 105's cover most slalom needs. For big downhill GS turns, you might want to go 130. Wider than that is probably counterproductive for slalom. Get the 45 degree base for the front and 35 for the back. Seismics are good slalom trucks but are als...

I doubt it's any competition for Manx, but it does exist.

Don't shave them. All you would be doing would be to remove the radius. That's a very small amount of urethane, but very helpful at the moments when you lose traction and need to scrub or control a slide. No-Skools are not like Avalons where the thin lip can sometimes be a liability. Only one person...

If that Indy 88 is from Chicken, then it has long enough axles so you can add spacers to push the wheels out to a width that will be close enough to go with the 106 RT.
