Hey there Greg. I hope all is well and you're getting your fill of rolling. Life continues to be good Stateside. I never heard back about the timers you were building. No sweat, I know how it gets. I went ahead and bought a used Trakmate from SixtySix. It works great. If/when you start selling timer...

I'd trade for a Radikal front I have an Indy 101, narrowed to 88mm, hangers perfectly faced, 8mm axle added which can go to 100mm wide, true sphere steel ball pivot in brass bearing seat upgrade (better than any ball pivot upgrade you've ever seen). I'm also 100% behind the DHB getting the Worlds for 2007. There's another thread where I raised the issue of rules. I want to make it clear that I have no position on what the rules should be, just that they be clearly stated as far as possible in advance of the race. Regardless of how it all works ...

Wax, I agree completely, organizers should make all of the rules decisions for their races. In the case of regional competitions, it shouldn't even be an issue. This case is special, since it's the "Worlds". It's the one big international race for everybody. I infer that your position is that even f...

I had this same problem with my Airflow. My bearings fit very tighly on the axles and one could not be removed. I made the big mistake of trying to wedge it off with a screwdriver and hammer and damaged the axle slightly. After the bearing was removed I was fortunately able to sand the axle smooth a...

Paul - thanks for the review. I had a similar experience with a Bennett, albeit an old one. I haven't tried the new ones. What I found was that my Bennett Pro, if wedged the same as I would an Indy or RTX, turned too far, too fast. I was "pulling my turns", like you might "pull your punches". It was...

I do agree that there needs to be a neutral location for race signups, not based on politics but on kindly inclusion of all skate sites. Adam is very possessive of his website traffic and has often run scripts that mess with links to other sites. That is not a neutral tactic. I don't know if he stil...

I'm also going to have to seriously consider whether or not I will give money to companies that pay Adam. Again, everyone can do what they please with their money. I also can do what I please with mine. I have no desire to in anyway see any of my money go for Adam's benefit. Wesley, I can't speak f...

FRONT FOOT
Marty, I've never skated parallel seriously, so I can't add much for the transition to surf stance. What I can say is that my surf stance has been helped greatly by focusing on turning primarily with my front foot. Drive from both, turn from front. I'm naturally mongo so I've been a tail steerer all...

You should do what pleases you, why else skate? 1. yes 2. the faster skaters do what works best and none of them skate parallel. It's less stable and you can't turn as hard. At this point skating parallel is liking driving that old restored GT with the teak dash, you do it for the art, not the race....

Donald, Is there a chance that the final retail version of the front truck will have a kingpin that is not threaded into the baseplate? I think Indy is a really good stock front truck, good for all disciplines. I've wedged them with good success in front between 14 and 20 degrees.
