Hans, I think you missed my point...I think short races are fine, just not World class races. If you re-read my post I think you might have a better idea of where I'm coming from and what the point is I'm trying to make.

wheel size

I'm not sure about the spacing for 5-6 cones a second, but I run 69mm wheels on 5' offsets no problem. It's a matter of truck tension. Wheel size should be unregulated. That thing with the air filled tires on it isn't a skateboard. To me, the only limitation we should have is a skateboard and perhap...

Worlds

I wasn't talking about reaction times...far from it. What I was talking about on the other site was the fact that in a short race ie) approx 9 second race, it'll most likely be decided in the start. If I drop down the ramp in the final and my competitor has a jump on me, it'll be virtually impossibl...

You don't need washers on the GS/Hbrid or GS/Hybrid XL. Get some phillips head hardware with the largest heads you can find. Those will suffice.

I can't really explain it, but what I can tell you is in the offsets at the top of the course where many people were losing speed...I was gaining it. I could stick and hug right up next to them. I also changed rear riser configurations prior to the morning of the race. I assume the combination of ri...

I like your idea John. Sounds like everyone would get a fair shake as well as get to race someone different than usual. I don't know if this only happened to me or if it happened to everyone, but I almost always got the same people in the lower rounds leading to the finals. Your system looks as thou...

True, the method I mentioned only works if you skate alone and hit few cones. Permanently marking a course can be a good bench mark for gauging progress, if used with a timer. Those who know me well, know I don't like to get too caught up in course setting or technical stuff...I just drop cones and ...

In my opinion, when you mark a course you're wasting valuable skating time. When I skate tight slalom or any slalom, but mostly tight, I almost always do it alone and never use anything to mark the course. I simply throw down some cones and if I hit any, I just reset them where ever looks right or m...
