Great racing at Brands Hatch on Sunday 15/06. Clear blue skies with temperatures into the low 80's. 75 cone hybrid head-to-head 5' - 12' all variations stingers/straights/s-curves, etc. 25+ seconds of great slalom. Big up Britsh Racing! Fast and furious! The day couldn't have got off to a worst star...

Hey John! Don't stick me up for a win. What about Jani? I reckon he's fast enough for a win. What about you and what about Kenny?

Jani - what inside info have you got on me?

Jani - Hadn't realised that I'd entered Paris. But since you've got me down, I'll come along. Do I have to bother with the online entry, or not?

Vlad - Were you expecting to come and just win the Pro races? Fnar!

Vlad - the Swiss race definitely sounds like Cambria territory, although cut down Avalons may also work.

Good post John. And, good post Henry. I agree with a lot of what you've got to say. I think it's been difficult for alot of the Euro racers to adjust to the FCR style of racing. I know it was difficult for me. I just wasn't geared up for US racing in terms of wheelbase and prep. It was sort of slow ...

Wesley - I'm always up and willing to read some of this crap! Vlad - If you're going to mention my name, please spell it correctly - LEVENE ... no 'I' (FACT!). I was replying only to GBJ's mention of an old race, and had no intention of 'getting on this boat'. In fact, I had very little interest in ...

Wow GBJ!

Was that less than 4.5' slalom we raced in Glasgow. I thought it was tight, but don't remember too well as I was pissed on Warsteiner and scotch (FACT - unfortunate drinking competition before the race!).

Andy, I don't know. But, it's not so hard to match those times as its downhill. Pump acceleration is the hard thing which I seem to have lost a lot of. That particular spot had a very slow start so I was getting to max speed by about cone 15. Easily 6+ cones per second after cone 15. If the local au...

I'm re-posting this from NCDSA, just to give you guys an idea of what to shoot at for a 30 cone course. 1985 - 22 cones (no room for more on slope), 5.5' apart, steep local spot (now sadly gone), electronic timing (just before 1st cone and after last), 3 pushes (no space for more) - my best 3.82 sec...

Arab,

I've always got a smoke. It's very tempting to come out to OC for a while, but what would I do all day. All you guys are at work all day.

I'd end up hanging around with Nick at Vinyl Solutions all day waiting for some slalomers to get off work.

What the weather like?

Yeah! Autobahns are a beautiful thing. Not as many unlimited roads left as there used to be. My current car is limited to 155 which is pretty standard these days. 155 or 165 doesn't really matter. It's not all that interesting. Fun if you're in a rush. The 155 limit is a euro government guideline an...

I've got a picture of my car speedo at around 165 somewhere (limited had been remapped). I'll try and dig it out.
