The clear inner, white khiro outer seem to feel ok. wrenched up the rig last nite with the splitfire rear. I read some of the posts so I tried dewedging the rear 5-10 degrees from horizontal. Not sure if I wedged the front radikal too much. I have a 15 degree wedge there.

Radikal bushing combos

Just received a front Radikal from another member. It looks to be set up with a clear and green. The green is too hard....right? What would be an alternate bushing for the inner? I have some white, orange and blue Khiro Barrels. Or do I need to stick with the Radikal bushing?

I picked up a stack of steel washers. Couldn't find any fibre washers but they have pretty good tolerance and fit with the existing kingpin so they shouldn't put too much wear on it. I stacked enough that the stack (7 washers) cup and Khiro barrel are the same height as the original bennett barrel p...

I saw the previous posting on this issue last nite and my plans are to eliminate the bottom cone on the bennett. I have a bmx spacer that fits but its not a tight fit on the kingpin...I will look for some fibre washers tomorrow. Alternatively I might put a really hard bushing on the bottom for now.....

Maybe it would help if I can see some pics of foot position...but I will move my footstop to the left bolt...that will move my foot a little further forward.

I will see what happens when I space them 5' apart....I think the problem is moving from brisk shallow pumps to deeper longer pumps.

I'll try to take a video tomorrow and post it on photobucket...or email it. I have soft bushings up front (khiro - inner inverted small orange cone, orange khiro barrel, truck pivot, then white cone outer). I stand to the right. I had the footstop (extra bushing) on the right front bolt. I thought I...

technique assistance - losing speed in the cones.

Hi. Its too cold and salty outside to skate but I did a little pump practice in garage when at the gym tonight. I mod'd my board a bit (skaterbuilt hybrid). I moved the foot stop back a bit - I was losing too much speed and over controlling the front. Works fine now. My winter set up uses 65mm Abec ...

differences between tracker trucks - sk8kings Q.

I was browsing thru sk8 kings and see that they mod the full track hanger with the rts base plate. what is the difference in how the rtx truck feels compared to the fulltrack rts mod? Also how does the mid track feel in slalom compared to the fulltrack. And finally, how is the Skandall as a rear tra...

Wheel nut tightness

I was just reading an old thread and wondering if my wheels are too loose. I have retro zigzags on my front bennett and rear tracker rts..China Reds bearings with a axle spacer. I've been running them just a little loose so they spin. Have I got this all wrong or do I need to preload them a bit? Als...

still having some issues

I had a kid video me and then I compared my pump to other vids. It looked like I have it wrong. Its almost like Im wiggling my board like one of those rip sticks. I'm wondering if my front truck is too turny. Should I put on less wedge? Right now its a stock bennett with soft khiro bushings, set at ...

I'll try moving the footstop back a bit. I put it on cause I found as I started to pump my front foot was sliding towards the nose of the board. I also think that the 1 degree dewedge I moved to the rear is just a little too much dewedging. I can pump but I think its a little bit too dead. I think I...

Seriously guys....front foot placement...the ball of the foot is it placed over all 4 of the screw heads, the back two or is it just personal preference. if the back foot pushes the rear end of the board, what assistance in pumping will the front foot provide.

Last nite a did a bit of switch-a-roo. I removed the riser in the back and moved the 1 degree riser from the front and added it to the back. I left the front 1/4" riser in place. I think its fine as it is. The front is still very turny and the rear can flex with the turn without providing much steer...

How does lowering the board improve the drive...is it a lowered center of gravity?

If I just lower the rear end to start is that sufficient? Or do I need to lower the front as well?

Here's a pic of my set up http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u253/leon68g/DSCN2601.jpg The front bennett truck has a small orange khiro cone at the base. stacked on top and squished in there (its a little long but it fits) is a white bitch cone. On the outside is a white khiro insert. The main wedge...

Ok...I think i just figured out the physics of dewedging....reduces the angle of attack that provides rear end turning...so rather than go with a rock hard rear end, if I dewedge it a little more, the rear end can lean into the turn allowing me to provide a lateral push without wasting all that ener...

More updates...still playing with the rear truck. I'm thinking i might dewedge it a little more. What will be the effect of dewedging? As far as the bennett. I had two regular short khiro cones and when paired up against the stock bennett long barrel, they were just a tad short by a mm or so. I had ...

Newbie...dialing things in......huge progress....i got it

Big progress last night and thanks for all the tips. I think the big one was switching out the RTX for the Bennett. I added the spacer (still have to shim the axle but the height is perfect). Tonight i will get some aluminum or copper sheet and install it inside the spacer. I left the wedging the sa...

confused...when we say lower...do we mean the inboard (close to baseplate) or outboard bushing (near kingpin nut). I'm still have trouble pumping the board...it loses momentum really quickly. I've decided to try my spare bennett up front....im going to fit 2 white khiro barrels up front (readily ava...

Newbie....help dialing things in....

I've been trying out my Skaterbuilt VRSII which I like very much. I just want to refine things to get in the groove. I'm running it with 20" wheelbase, 70mm lime Zigs, RTX/RTS 106 front and back. The front has the SK8kings mod for bushings (orange khiro barrel inboard, and white !tch outboard.) Its ...
