you can't start the 'Axe Army' without expecting another manufacturer to start their own thing for fun... Just as the Axe Army is there for camaraderie and building the scene, so is the Skaterbuilt Mafia, or any other informal club/org for that matter. Slalom is too small to take this stuff so serio...

hey patrick.

check the 'coneheads' thread on http://www.charliedontskate.com/ for info on sessions in Melbourne. Things have been pretty quiet down there on the slalom front but they are just starting to get into it. They have a great bowl-riding scene there if you are into that.

I love the TrakMate! After the initial hassles setting it up with wires and connecting the whole thing (which thank god my good mate Bugs took charge of) the TrakMate has been pure pleasure to use. We've already had three races with the timer here in Sydney, Oz, and are looking forward to having hea...

I got two SB's in the mail today, a CK TS and Hybrid. They look great, and I've been walking back and forth to the living room to stand on the boards on the carpet all afternoon, just loving the concave and the way the tail cradles the back foot. Now it's time to get them set up and ready to ride......

Following up on WT's post, I'm putting together a TrakMate down here in Oz. Finally we'll have some timed races! I had the same questions as WT regarding the tapeswitches. But my other question is in regard to the wire cable you use between the tapestrips and the timer. What sort of cable do you use...

S-Camber!!!

Just got my XFire S-Camber last week. It only took about 9-10 days shipping from the USA to Australia, super quick. I set it up with a TTC in the back, no wedge, and a wedged RTX in the front, and Av's. Took it out for a spin on Monday on the local netball courts, flat super smooth surface. What a g...

Hey Hans!
We should definitely put together a weekend of slaloming this summer, that'd be great fun. I haven't quite figured out if anyone here in norway is riding any slalom yet, we shall see... Good luck in switzerland. i'm not sure i'll make it down from here, the flights get a bit pricey...

Wow! just checked out the video of Richy Carrasco doing 360's, that's insane! How does he maintain the momentum to keep going? Doesn't he succumb to dizziness? i never fully understood how figure skaters managed to spin around for so long without going wobbly, my head's loopy after only a couple of ...
