Will the ramps take a 215 pounder going 25+ hitting them?
Nope...I see the speeds
being a bit less than that.

Have to ask - looks like they'd move maybe? Nope, the ramps are heavy and strong.

Hey Rick, Nothing specific to the start or whoop-de-doos. For the start, you will be able to drop in from your tail or axle, or you can roll in over the coping. We will be adding an extension to the platform on the start ramp. There is a bit of vid on the Freshpark home page: http://freshpark.com/ A...

Paul...stoked you are coming! we can't have a race in Morro Bay without you.

You will definitely need a kicktail. The pavement is a bout a year old, pretty nice. Registration is open on the NCDSA Contest Calendar.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Yes sir.

Everything is a bit compressed.

After a couple of hours of practice, we will meet with the riders and then make some adjustments.

RIP Slalom Innovator Howard Gordon

It is with a heavy heart that I post the sad news that Howard Gordon has passed away. I first met Howard right after the 2001 World Slalom Championships in Morro Bay. He had attended the race and quickly became interested in racing, along with his children Dylan and Lauren, who both went on to becom...

Hey Rick, I was a high jumper also...

Events like the high jump and pole vault can be boring live, but with proper editing you can create drama and excitement.

I still coach the vault, and I know what you mean about being the first to start and last to finish!

More pros? Offer real prize money. However it's not going to come from slalom/skateboard companies. Take a look at vert/street contests, the prize money doesn't come from skateboard companies. So how do we get our hands on that money...get on TV. TV equals eyeballs, sponsors like eyeballs. Right now...

It's the Worlds. Unlike so many other sports, our sport offers everyone a chance to compete in the World Championships, show up and pay your entry fee and you're in.
