Eddy, Buy Type 131. It's tougher, lasts longer, resists better to bending, and is sensitive enough for any size junior. You won't regret it. I guess we're crazy up here. We have been using 3' for starts and 6' for finish lines at all the races we have used our timing kit. Bottom line is it works gr...

Jourdan - I know you are busting your ass to throw a good event and raise the level of the Sizzler production to new heights, nobody doubts that and I'm sure we all appreciate it - and I know you have had additional "fires" to put out - but a friendly reminder to make sure to look at it from a racer...

I'm with Lavin...and as an example (you knew it was coming) USASA snowboarding has kids from 5 and up, each paying $75/yr. before even one race is run/attended...and over 1500 riders at Nationals, mostly kids...it does not kill the sport, quite the opposite - a financially healthy and well-run gover...

Thanks Rick, thats a really good perspective for guys that don't participate in other sports, it costs more to play tennis, bowl, or ride MT bikes than what were asking for. I think it is important to keep this an "open book" though and if anyone wants to get in touch, I welcome the imput. Joe Yup,...

I also have some comments on the proposed ISSA member fee requirement. I have always just paid whatever member fee was required in all sports I have competed in, without thinking much about it. If I competed for a year and felt it was a rip-off, I would have either asked for it back, or not competed...

I picked up a stack of steel washers. Couldn't find any fibre washers but they have pretty good tolerance and fit with the existing kingpin so they shouldn't put too much wear on it. I stacked enough that the stack (7 washers) cup and Khiro barrel are the same height as the original bennett barrel ...

I saw the previous posting on this issue last nite and my plans are to eliminate the bottom cone on the bennett. I have a bmx spacer that fits but its not a tight fit on the kingpin...I will look for some fibre washers tomorrow. Alternatively I might put a really hard bushing on the bottom for now....

Lawrence, I can almost guarantee you that the "oversteering" problem you feel is from the setup of the bushings on the Bennett, not foot position. If you can't do the yellow stim setup I recommend, at least get rid of the cone bushings and use barrels only, with a cup washer on the bottom. I used se...

Having skated this road before (one side of it, anyway), I'm sure the racing will be bad-ass as usual. One question for you and Jonny: Any chance you'd consider basing it on the best TWO-run combined time? That would at least partly eliminate the headwind/tailwind factor. I've been wanting to sugge...

Lawrence - if you have the capability to post a vid, or link to a vid, we can likely give you much better feedback. The wheelbase for 6 foot cones sounds about right. I assume your feet are pretty much directly over each truck, and that you have soft bushings in front (75-85 depending on weight/cour...

Is there going to be an ISSA Worlds? Has anyone applied to host it yet? Anyone even mentioned they might want to host it? http://www.worldcupranking.com/ - that should be taken down. It's not good to have conflicting "rankings" if we are going to build the ISSA "brand". The rankings are based on mostly 2008 races too, with no new US 2009 results, only EU - making it appear outdated and incomplete. Not helping.
